MIDDLE CLASS TAX RELIEF ACT OF 2010
Units must be installed between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011 to be eligible for tax credits.
Furnaces
Tax credit qualifying furnaces must be at least 95% AFUE rated. Tax Credit $ 150.00
Furnaces that use Energy Savings Advanced Fan Technology, qualify for an additional of $50.00.
Air Conditioning
Air condition systems that are tax credit eligible must be rated at 16 SEER and 13 EER. These efficiencies are achieved by properly matching an indoor coil, the outdoor condensing unit and the indoor air handler or furnace. Proper combinations are determined by AHRI. Tax Credit $300.00
Solar
Solar energy instillations receive a tax credit equal to 30 % of the cost of installation with no upper limit. Solar compatible condensing units when installed with a complete photovoltaic solar system are also eligible to receive the tax credit allowed.

Advanced Fan Furnace Tax Credit – Available on any furnace equipped with an advanced main air circulating fan that uses no more than 2% of the furnace’s total energy
